5. Children's Privacy (COPPA Compliance)

MemClick is designed for families with students aged 6 and older. We comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).

A. Parental Involvement

A parent or legal guardian must create the account and provide their phone number for authentication. Parents control all access to student learning data and analytics.

B. Student Data

Students do not create accounts independently. All student data is accessed and managed by the parent/guardian. We do not use student information for marketing or third-party advertising.

C. Data Deletion

Parents may request deletion of their account and all associated student data at any time by contacting us at legal@memclick.com.

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share information only when:

  • Required by law or court order
  • Necessary to prevent fraud or protect safety
  • With your explicit written consent
  • With service providers (like Supabase for authentication) under confidentiality agreements

7. Data Security

We implement reasonable security measures to protect your information, including:

  • Encrypted transmission (HTTPS/TLS)
  • Secure authentication via Supabase (industry-standard)
  • Regular security audits and vulnerability assessments
  • Limited access to personal data (staff need-to-know basis)

However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active, or as long as necessary to provide the Service. You may request deletion of your account and data at any time. After deletion, we retain only minimal information required by law (transaction history for 7 years for tax purposes).
